Wei Song PhD
Bio
I am a multidisciplinary autism researcher, data communicator, ecological thinker, and lifetime learner.
My research agenda is dedicated to empowering autistic individuals to actively engage in their communities, unlocking their potential for personal growth, skill development, and access to vital resources and support systems.
As a trailblazing advocate for the neurodiversity movement and social model of disability, my approach holds the community and society accountable for outcomes and quality of life among autistic individuals. My work challenges the traditional medical model of "fixing" individuals, and instead, I spearhead research that identifies environmental and social risk factors to optimize health and social inclusion for autistic people across diverse needs and life stages.
